The development status and prospect of augmented reality hardware industry

Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) has become one of the most attractive fields in the global information technology industry, which is currently underging a rapid development. Portability, mobility and interactivity are the three major challenges for the popularization of AR hardware products. Based on a research of AR hardware industry chain and a detailed comparison between existing AR glasses parameters and global technical standards, this paper analyzes the major problems in terms of root causes, main measures and technical standards for AR glasses. The future development direction of AR hardware industry is also prospected.
