Abstract

Autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) is a kind of new ocean environment monitoring platform which can be used to monitor large area ocean environment for a long time. The current research and development of AUV at home and abroad are reviewed. The current situation of AUV in ocean environment monitoring is addressed. The future main application of AUV in ocean monitor is also predicted.
